Housework Ideas not Ideals

Here's my first post on the new blog and I thought I start with the arch nemesis...housework.

How to get it all done??..and do school, cook and run errands?  The secret for me is to not have a schedule.  That's right, no schedule.  I can hear you now...are you crazy?  I've done that and the house is a wreck which is why I need a schedule.  Probably not.  I've had a chronic illness for a while now and I can assure you I love checking off boxes as much as the next gal but it's not going to happen regularly.  Then I start getting behind because monday's schedule didn't get done and then I'd have tuesday to deal with also.  By wednesday I would have given up because I was probably sick again and 3 days behind.  So what was the solution?

A Housework Loop Plan.

If you've never heard of of it, don't worry,  neither had I but I had been doing it for quite some time when I found out what it was.

A Housework Loop Plan is where you have a general list of chores and you just rotate through them as you can.  No zones. No day schedule.  Just do the next thing on the list.  When you get to the end you just start over.  So Here's my list in case you need a starting place.

DAILY
make beds
load of laundry (first thing)
Everyone Reading:  History, Science, Read Alouds
tidy bathrooms
clean bathroom sinks, counter & toilet
pet care
breakfast
load dishes, start dishwasher
start dinner in crockpot

WEEKLY
vacuum
sweep
mop
clean desk and other messy paper places
dust
do banking
plan meals & shopping list
clip kids nails
clean shower & tub
sweep porches
bills
sheets

MONTHLY STUFF
check dryer ductwork
toy declutter
clean living room & kitchen windows
clean refridge
straighten books & cull out old stuff
clean 3 drawers
clean oven
vacuum furniture
throw away magazines
clutter clean kitchen counters
clean dresser drawers
wash window sills
wash nick nacks or clutter clean
clean a light fixture
wash baseboards
wash any woodwork
clean 1 cupboard
move furniture and clean behind

I do have a seasonal plan that has certain stuff that's specific to the time of year but I'll leave that for another post.

This is not a clutter cleaning plan so I'll put that on another post as well.
